Erika is a highly qualified, certified attorney-mediator with fifteen years’ experience, including over five thousand hours on mediation cases. She is an adjunct law professor at McGeorge School of law, teaching a unique course she constructed on Alternatives to Litigation in Family Law. Erika is also a divorce lifestyle specialist, speaking, writing, and teaching on better divorce practices and better divorce life.
Erika believes that better people everywhere deserve better divorce, so she is developing the nation’s first online cooperative divorce tool. Launching to the public in early 2020, the Divorceably software will bring the benefits of her approach to everyone in California.
Erika is a middle child of a large family, which is partially to blame for her love of peace-building, excellent communication skills, and the rebellious nature that lead her to break free from the old school approach to divorce. She lives in Folsom with her young children, happily co-parenting with their father (most of the time – she’s not perfect). Erika loves musical theatre, Lake Tahoe, rap music, being a parent, and people who give her Starbucks cards. Erika can tap dance (not well), enjoys a good single track ride, and is always reading at least three books at once.
